PSPP-BUG: spanish characters in data-bases

Hi
I'm new to PSPP and am testing some of its features, using PSPP version 0.6.2 under ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04.

Well, my data contain fields and labels using Spanish characters -- i.e. á, é, í, ó, ú, ü, and ñ -- that were not recognized when I loaded the *.sav datafiles; instead, a "?" sign replaced them for. I tried manually changing some data and labels and although it seemed to work, the problem resurfaced after saving and re-loading the data.  This is a major annoyance for me and I guess for anybody using Spanish. I wonder if there's a function or initial setting for extended-character support in reading data files, that I couldn't figure out or if this is a true bug. (My apologies if this bug has already been addressed by someone else, but couldn't find a search function for the bugs list pages.)

BTW. Count on me for any translation you'd need to make.

Appreciate your answer

Vicente E.
