I am using the dfa.[ch] from the latest released GNU grep, and a
recent regex.[ch] from the glibc CVS tree. I think both are
fairly stable and don't want to change to anything more recent.

If at all possible, I want to avoid a 3.0.7 release; I'm hoping for
a Q1 2001 release of gawk 3.1. It's in active Alpha testing now,
and is starting to stabilize nicely.

Thanks,

Arnold
