But the latest glibc regex.[ch] is not compatible with the latest
released GNU grep dfa.[ch]. In particular, they don't handle "{"
compatibly. For proper behavior you need to use a matched set of
source files.
I suppose that you could fall back to using the set from the latest
released GNU grep. But I assume you upgraded regex for a reason....
Is the latest gawk alpha available? Perhaps I could look for
inconsistencies between it and the grep version. As far as I know, no
major maintenance has occurred with grep -- it's just bug fixing.
