False alert ...
I was ldd'ing the binaries before installation, with no previous
gettext install. ldd -s reports that the correct library search
path is indeed used.
Another thing: Tom Dickey tells me that gettext does not currently
work with Solaris' gettext. Not knowing any details, are there any
plans to rectify this?
