Tar manual:
To check for discrepancies in an archive immediately after it is written,
use the --verify (-W) option in conjunction with the --create (-c)
operation. ... In multi-volume archives, each volume is verified after it
is written, before the next volume is written.
Wow, it can verify multi-volume archives!
tar -cW -M --file=a:\archive.tar *.*
tar: Cannot verify multi-volume archives
???????????
Or am I Making any mistake?
(tar Version 1.12, dos)
