Isn't 5.0.5 pretty recent?
- Not really... 5.0.6 is recent, but the stock dev kit that comes with
5.0.5 is a complete pain in the ass. The latest dev kit that comes with
Unixware can supposedly be installed on Openserver 5 too, and sports a
newer compiler, STL and libs, etc... but I never dared to install it.
Does the code work if you add "-Dmbsinit=sisinit" to CFLAGS?
If so, I suppose we could add some autoconf magic to do that.

My only worry is that the definition of sisinit in the sco docs does
not state that for a NULL input it will return a non zero value...
