Problem with gcc Installation

Hello,

I am installing gcc compiler 2.95 on Solaris8. Have downloaded the version 
GNUgcc-2.95.2.SPARC32bit-Solaris8.pkg.tgz
and after unzipping and tar command it has created a directory GNUgcc and now 
when I run command "pkgadd -d$PWD GUNgcc"
 as instructed, am getting the following error:
"pkgadd: ERROR: no packages were found in </tmp/download/GNUgcc>"

Could you please help me out in this.
