Latest BFD snapshot doesn't fix problem

Hi people,

I as was advised, I upgraded ld.

$ ld -v
GNU ld version 010906 (with BFD 010906)

But when compiling, I continue to get the same error message, with a change in 
the line of abortion:

/usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld: BFD internal error, aborting at elf32-i386.c line 
1
871 in elf_i386_relocate_section

/usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld: Please report this bug.

For frther reference, please read the message posted by me a few days ago in 
this list, as I can't paste the whole info now. It was quite thorough.

I need to fix this ASAP, since my programmming is halted.
