Hello,
After compiling the binutils package I found a small bug in de make
install
routine of the various makefiles.
The main Makefile has a variable DESTDIR that can be set. When you
install
with this variable set at the commandline only the libiberty package is
installed in this directory tree, all other components are installed in
the
standard directory tree (/usr/local)
I found that the Makefiles of all packages except libiberty have it's
own
variable in the Makefile. It would be nice if all tools would react the
same
to general variables.
This is a small point that would be nice if it was fixed.
