As I found out when upgrading an older project, gettextize (and by judging
from the source, autopoint also) needs the package-local m4 dir
as the *first* -I in ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS.

I had /usr/local/share/aclocal there, which confused it to no end (it tried to
create symlinks in there!)

This needs to be documented... better yet, there should be some sanity check,
like "if the m4dir is an absolute path, reject it"
