$ ./convert-archive cvs dir archive.cvs.tar.gz archive.dir.tar.gz
./convert-archive: 201: rlog: not found
tar: *: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

I see it clearly now :-)
I wonder why the build process continued happily. Should the Makefiles
not stop on errors like this one?
BTW: When converting to git I get a message saying that my name and email
address have been guessed from my login name and machine name.
Is there a way to disable such thing during the build process? I don't
like the idea of my name and a bogus email (as the machine is not in
DNS) to end up being in the archive.git.tar.gz to be distributed in
the debian package.
