I installed the gnuastro package from the Ubuntu 22.04 repository. The commmand $ asttable BSC5.fits --informationgoes into a tight CPU-bound loop and "never" comes out. ("Never" here means I killed it after a couple of minutes.)
The table above is the Yale Bright Star Catalog v5, but it happens on every FITS table I've tried.
