Hi Hilderic,
Thanks for sending the file, I was able to reproduce the problem and
find the fix (see the message at the top for the details if your
interested):
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/gnuastro.git/commit/?id=7d117daa2d0
You can download the latest Gnuastro tarball (and its corresponding
book), that has this fix from the links below:
https://akhlaghi.org/gnuastro.pdf
https://akhlaghi.org/gnuastro-latest.tar.lz
To install this tarball from source (see the "Quick start" section in
the Introduction of the PDF above).
As described in the commit message, the problem with reading this file
wasn't actually with Gnuastro, but with CFITSIO (which is used by
Gnuastro to read/write FITS files). I have already submitted a bug
report for the CFITSIO authors and they are looking into it.
To stay up to date with future Gnuastro releases, you can subscribe to
this mailing list:
https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-gnuastro
Thanks again for reporting this bug (for both Gnuastro and CFITSIO) ;-).
Cheers,
Mohammad
