[Bug-gnubg] Bug (!?): Linux with/without xdm

Hi again,

I just noticed a small bug on any linux system:

1. Create a "starter" in gnome or kde on the desktop for gnubg.
2. If you start xdm (runlevel 5 on most systems) you have to activate
the option "start in terminal". Otherwise the greeting screen will
shortly appear, but no GNU backgammon. In runlevel 3 (login at console,
"startx") this is not neccesary.
