Hi Achim,
I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing here, as I don't see the
relevance of xdm (<- login and session manager).
What I meant was the following (KDE):
- create a "Link to Application" icon on the desktop with 'gnubg' as
command => only intro screen is shortly shown
- create the same with 'gnubg -w' as command => works (at least here)
But maybe you mean something completely different. I'm using kdm as
session manager.
