At the original board ratio of 108x72 the dice area extended into the
chequer area, so it was not possible to have a separate chequer image
and a separate dice image. The solution was to make the dice and cube
smaller so the the areas did not overlap.

I don't know if Øystein's change to the board ratio has "fixed" this
problem.
