On FreeBSD 12 / x86_64:
* Since I have no Berkeley DB installed on this machine, I had to use
the configure option --without-db. Why the hassle? Why not assume
--without-db if no Berkeley DB was found installed?
* There were failures in "make check". Logs are attached.
