I don't like the idea of letting the LGPL exert a domino effect.
However, those functions that are available in libgcc are already
LGPL-covered code. You could get the code from there.
I understand his reasons. So it seems I'll have to rewrite whatever
GPL code there is that I need. Would the gnulib maintainers accept
such contributions? I.e., replacing existing GPL functionality with a
LGPL version? Right now, I only need minmax.h, but it seemed you
agreed to make it available under LGPL, so I don't need to rewrite it.
How about installing the patch below?
