    Can you please `ldd' them?

The only ones that come up "not found" are those in
extensions/gnash*/libraries themselves, namely:
    libgnashamf-cvs.so => not found
    libgnashbase-cvs.so => not found
    libgnashmedia-cvs.so => not found
    libgnashnet.so.0 => not found
    libltdl.so.3 => not found

I assume the .sh scripts set up LD_LIBRARY_PATH correctly; it looks like
they do. I ran ./run-icecat.sh -g ./icecat-bin and it reported (among
other things):

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:./plugins:.:/u/karl/.gnuzilla/icecat/8ovw8t1d.default/extensions/address@hidden/libraries:~/.gnuzilla/plugins

so it should be finding all those .so's in the actual execution.

    Does "Tools -> Add-ons" show Gnash installed?

Yes.

    If so, I am quite sure it was a problem to load the .so because of
    dependencies.

Doesn't something have to be done to associate swf files with gnash?
For example, going to http://gnashdev.org/testcases/v5/array-v5.swf in
my icecat also offers to use the "Movie Player" instead of gnash. So
it's nothing special about amazon.

How to debug?

Thanks,
Karl
