To put it back, you have to edit
confvars.sh in the browser folder:
http://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/lh/gnuzilla/icecat/revision/73#browser/confvars.sh See the change that was applied here. Put the 1 back and it should build with it. The rationale behind it was to host your own data and for privacy. But since the data are encrypted and after discussion with RMS, we will put it back for the next version, but will also probably add instructions on how to easily make backups of your personal data (the profile dir.) GNU IceCat 12.0 is available for download here: ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gnuzilla/12.0/icecat-12.0.tar.xz [CHANGES] * GNU LibreJS is now loaded by default. * In the same manner as Debian Iceweasel and Trisquel Abrowser, the profile directories are now located within the home .mozilla directory, under .mozilla/icecat. This addresses the issue with the --with-user-appdir option that has been reported multiple times through the years. * Firefox Sync is now disabled by default. Please report any problem you may experience to the address@hidden mailing list. Thank you, Loic Duros Gnuzilla and IceCat maintainer -- http://gnuzilla.gnu.org |
