Another concern (along with those in the other email) is that Firefox Sync is a service (data hosted remotely on Mozilla's servers), and so renaming it to IceCat Sync would be wrong. It took me a little while to figure out whether we could leave it as "Firefox Sync" without issues. What's the rationale for disabling sync? Just wondering. Would I need to make changes before building (from source) to enable it?
We're finalizing a new feature to the Privacy module and a new LibreJS, after what we'll release IceCat 13; IceCat 13 will come with Firefox Sync.
Thanks,
