I've only the single floppy drive on this box, but I did go ahead and
try a new floppy disk. I still get that "Permission denied" error.
It's obviously something with dd but - well, what?? And why wouldn't it
happen with stage1 if it happens with stage2?

Does the capacity of the floppy disk matter? Isn't it irrelevant if
the disk is already formatted (or not)..?
