Me:
Looking at dmesg had never occurred to me. Output is one line only:
"VFS: Disk change detected on device fd(2,0)"

Kinda odd though since the floppy in not touched in between dd'ing ..
Is there an easy way for me to check if the process might have completed 
correctly
despite the error?
