I also have a board with eepro100's with PXE support on it I was going
to try out, with an eye to adding a PXE driver directly to GRUB (been
looking over the spec, and it doesn't seem very hard).

The biggest thing that has been stopping me right now is lethargy in
setting up a PXE server.

If you're going to make a serious attempt at it, though, I'll just
happily help test your code.  ;-)
