Do the kernel and ramdisk work all right with a disk? Or could you
please try them with standard GRUB 0.93 on some 'supported' cards like
eepro100 or realtek 8139?
I mean we must make sure whether it is caused by the patch. It seems
that the NIC driver has download the kernel and initrd properly, but
GRUB loader met some difficult to load it :-(
Of course, I will try to recur it on my machine at the same time you try
:). It has an 82545EM on board, which may be similar to your NIC card.
By the way, could you please tell me the main board and CPU type you are
using? We have ever met some difficulty on booting dual Athlon MP with
Tyan board. Its BIOS memory layout is odd :-(.
Finally, thank you for your testing my patch ^_^.

I applied your patches (thanks) for my e1000 adapter. I am
attempting to boot from the network via grub here is what I
get:

and here we hang.....We should be booting the kernel now but
for some reason this isn't working. Any clues? I applied
both patches from grub-diskless-patch-2.
Thanks.
