hello,

I used grub without a problem, it worked before with all kernels, but now sudden grub hangs after the boot command, there is no error message, the only thing on screen are the executed boot commands.
I have 3 kernels defined in my grub, debian 2.6.14 , debian 2.4.x and ubuntu 2.6.12, the last two boot without a problem but the debian 2.6 hangs, I tryed to install different 2.6 debian kernels(386,686) but they all fail, my device.map and grub config is correct. Tryed to mannualy boot the kernel but then it also hangs, tryed to regenerate the device.map but still no solution. after 3 hours searching I am out of options.

has anyone an idea what else I can try? or what the solution is.

Thanks in advance,
Jan lenaerst
