I tried the latest Windows installation of Lilypond
(1.4.12.jcn5-1) yesterday and noticed the following
problems:
- The lilypond package was not selected by default,
in the "Select packages to install" page of the
installation, I had to manually click on "View"
and click on the circular arrows on the Lilypond
line to select the package.
- During the installation, I got lots of complaints
about missing library libintl1.dll. The solution
was simply to rerun setup.exe again and select
also this package manually, just as above.
See also the following question in the Cygwin FAQ:
http://cygwin.com/faq/faq_4.html#SEC32
This was on a Win2000 machine, running the installation
as administrator.
Jan, when you build a 1.4.13 version for Windows, I recommend
to include my recent patch for the font installation and
to make sure that the Type1 fonts are included in the
package. It will probably increase the size of the .tar.gz
file by some MB but is very useful for everybody who wants
to prepare PDF files.
