This is new to 0.23 . For the old I use something like: PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR="$SYSROOT/lib/pkgconfig" PKG_CONFIG_PATH= export PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR PKG_CONFIG_PATHto prevent pkg-config to find resources from build system when cross-compiling.
