Thanks for working on it.

I forgot to chime in earlier I think, but I wondered who is “we” in “we
decided” above, and my gut reaction was that it’s sad that GNU
maintainers would effectively lose access to that important piece of
information.

In Guix we have a bit of infrastructure that relies on this info, so I
guess we’ll update the URL.  It was useful that those of us interested
in this info could occasionally update the rec file in the Womb.  Now
we’ll perhaps end up maintaining two different databases, which would be
a sad outcome.
