Have you tried jikes 1.16? What about the current CVS, which has fixed a
few regressions discovered in 1.16?  The jikes team would like to
release 1.17 soon, and both Classpath and JRVM serve as nice testbeds to
see that the compiler is behaving properly.  And any bug reports you
have of problems are appreciated, because invalid bytecode in Classpath
is never a good thing.
