Should we aim at multi-back-end support, we should change the name of
the package. /me thinks a funny name would be GNU diff cult :-D, even
though the union of cvs-utils and cvsutils is more than a set of
commands to venerate diffs :-) But we could also try to get Tim
Waugh's patchutils merged with this unified project. Several times I
thought it would make sense, but since I never find myself in a
position of being able to offer time to make it happen, I never go
ahead with it...
