Hello,
(I finally subscribed to the demexp-dev mailing list ! ;-)).
David MENTRE a écrit :
I plan to break the network protocol between a demexp client and server
in next releases (starting from 0.3.9). So, for people doing packages,
the new clients won't work with server on tuxinette until I update it.
Can you add a «version» field somewhere in the protocol which is
exchanged by the server and the client at connection time, so that an
incompatible client can display a nice message ?
In the meantime, I have kept a "stable" version of demexp for people
doing packages:
http://www.linux-france.org/~dmentre/demexp/latest-src/demexp--cduce--0.3.8.tar.gz
Okay. Anyway, the Debian packages are both generated using the same
source. So at any time, I suppose the client and server delivered in the
same tarball archive will remain compatible.
Sincerly,
Thomas
