This fix will work, but has the drawback that Denemo will hog the output (and
correspondingly won't be able to start playing if something else is using
it).
The correct fix is outside of Denemo - in the Alsa control panel you should
set up the default device to be the one you want and specify "default" in
Denemo. Then Denemo will coexist with other programs (vlc, audacity etc).
" GLib - CRITICAL: g_string_assign: assertion 'string != NULL' failed" that is
happening on every start, fortunately it is harmless
Thank you for the feedback about the initial start up - I've often wondered
whether people would find it just too annoying.
