[Denemo-user] Polyphony questions

Hi again!

I've got another basic question.  I'm working on a score, and it has a few measures where the general chording practice changes slightly.  I don't know how well I'm going to be able to describe this textually, but I'll do my best.

You've got a piano part for the left hand.  4/4 time.  In the same measure, play 8 A's as eighth notes, while playing 4 C's as quarter notes. Something like:

A_A_A_A_A_A_A_A_
C___C___C___C___

The only way I've found to do this is to break into 'polyphonic' mode for one of the two 'sub-parts'.

While that worked to produce the output I wanted, it did add further complications when copying the measure.

So, I have two questions:

#1 -- Is there a way to accomplish this task without using polyphonic mode? (Every thing I tried forces two notes in a 'chord' to have the same length, so the C, would drop to and eighth, or the A would rise to a quarter)

#2 -- Is there a way to copy ALL the voices in a measure simultaneously, or do you have to copy/paste each one seperately?

Thanks!

(PS, I am trying to write about something I did on thursday and friday last week.  I might not be describing the ideas and terms accurately, but the general spirit of the message is sound, I think.  Thanks for your patience!)

I noticed something while looking at the source last weekend. If you
open up the staff properties and manually type in drums in the midi
instrument field the notes get written to the drum channel. I will do
something to make this more obvious in the gui and later allow manual
channel and program number.

Anyway to here the drums just manually type it in in the staff
properties.
