Pnet's compat library be faster than Common C++. What about memory
footprint of SEE + PNET ?.

Something from that O'Reilly article on Rotor that caught my eye was
the Apache Portable Runtime (http://apr.apache.org/). The homepage says
it provides compatibility for C. Could this be used [in combination with
cc++] instead of home-growing a new compat lib for pnet?
