I ran into it yesterday and have fixed it in CVS .... Portable.net
CVS is as easy to compile as the releases and if there's any problem
with the CVS , you know it's going to get fixed soon too :-)

But I've attached the patch anyway (seeing which you might guess the
simplicity of the fixes :-) , if you're not in a position to download
CVS. These are from my CVS commit logs, so you just might have slight
problems patching , but these are simple changes ...

$ patch < bison-fixes.patch

and enter the path names of the files to be patched (stupid patch will
print that and still ask for the file) ... so you'll need to type in
"cscc/vb/vb_grammar.y" etcc.. (I know you'll figure this all out, but
I'm finishing the topic :-)

Could you give me some example of the errors you were facing ?
(or actually if "ilrun" works the pnetlib should be installed ?)

pnetC might need the Managed C compiler included with pnet (but installing
pnet should get that too) and ml-pnet should compile all right ... so
could I have the error messages ?

Yes that's right ...

Hmm.. Knoppix ? (/me also has a working Knoppix which I carry around)
No, Knoppix has no problems IIRC ... but I'll do a build with it too

Here you have it ... dotgnu people are spread around the globe so
it might be a while for a reply , but rest assured that each newbie
question will be answered .

/me asks a question in turn , do you like the speed with which cscc
compiles programs ?
