Hi Tero,

my best guess is something did not work when downloading the file. Does
Duplicity tell you if it can successfully parse or load the
adbackend.py file you placed? It should show something like this if you
start it with --verbosity notice:

  Import of duplicity.backends.adbackend Succeeded

If not, can you check what exactly you downloaded? I just noticed that
Launchpad now downloads the file as HTML (with syntax highlighting)
instead of the raw version when I last tried. Maybe that's the reason
why it doesn't work for you?

I'll try to find a decent solution now, but Launchpad doesn't make this
easy, unfortunately.
