I agree that if it is on by default then it will raise awareness of
the project to new users (which will further enhance the feedback,
development, and community around the project).  Further, if someone
does not like it then they will just google "how do I disable the
elyxer footer" and within seconds will be directed to the eLyXer FAQ
which will have (detailed!) information on how to disable it.
Wouldn't this be suitable for all?
