I will take a look at all three. Right now I am busy with:
  https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/index.php?31243
which is making me change the way all formulae are parsed; but it
should be much more flexible, with spaces and comments allowed
anywhere.

I don't know, but I will add this to the new feature wish-list (to
keep track of features requested, which were threatening to get lost
otherwise). Keep them coming!
