I'm not a native English speaker, so I wouldn't know how common is
this nowadays. To me, "q.v." is a well-known term.
We could replace it with "which see", I suppose, if people find "q.v."
too cryptic.
In any case, Glossary was using "q.v." since long ago, and no one ever
complained, AFAIR.
