It appears that in Emacs we have the extra trouble of menu-bar-mode
being one of the first things people disable, and some major ‘distros’
like Spacemacs seem to disable them by default, so many people never
even see it.  Also, FWIW, I just noticed the Options menu for the first
time in my life, after reading Drew’s message, even though the menu bar
has been sitting there before my eyes for years...

There was an idea in another thread that we could ask major distros to
not disable menu bar, and I said I could create the issues, but I though
I’d wait for some of the maintainers (dis)agree first. What do you
think, would such a thing be useful?
