I suggest to redefine emms-modeline-alter-modeline to something like that :
(defun emms-modeline-alter-modeline ()
"Update the modeline with song info."
(when emms-modeline-modeline
(setq emms-modeline-string (concat " ["
(funcall emms-modeline-modeline) "] "))
(force-mode-line-update)))
So we have " [artist - song] " (better usability). We'd better define a
generic for that, even :)
Tarball updated at http://www.gnu.org/software/emms/snaps/
Thanks :)
