I get the idea but personally find the new description too busy (and it took me a while to understand that I was seeing composers) and a bit long for mode-line display.

But, as you say, this is super-easy to customize...

Keep in mind that these changes are there to hopefully improve Emms'
out-of-the-box experience, since many of the more experienced Emms users
have long since customized `emms-track-description-function' to their
liking.
