[Fhsst-bio] How much detail?

Hi there...can someone help? I am trying to do Section 3 Chapter1. How
much detail must I go into? For instance, one of the Biomes is
the Aquatic Biome. But this can be broken down into freshwater
and saltwater. The freshwater can be broken down into Lotic (running water) and
Lentic (Still water)systems, and the Lentic systems can further be subdivided
into zones according to the depth of the water. Then one can go into details
about the productivity of each etc etc. I don't even want to think about the
salt water division! Is there a guide about how much detail we must include?
Also, does this depend on the grade of learners the text book is aimed at?
