I have noticed that ipmiping puts BMC in confused state.  This is
reproducible with the following sequence

debian-sid:~# ipmiping -c 3 debian-ia64
ipmiping debian-ia64 (
response received from rq_seq=0
response received from rq_seq=1
response received from rq_seq=2
--- ipmiping debian-ia64 statistics ---
3 requests transmitted, 3 responses received in time, 0.0% packet loss
