Hey Emmanuel,

(Putting our thread back on the mailing list so it's searchable).

ipmi_check_completion_code: completion code invalid: c1
ipmi-messaging-support-cmds-udm.c: 89:
ipmi_cmd_get_channel_authentication_capabilities: errmsg = Invalid
Command. Used to indicate an unrecognized or unsupported command.

Did this IPMI card work before and it only recently stopped working? If
so, this is a strong indication to me that it's a hardware problem. The
above error indicates the get channel authentication capabilities is not
recognized. The get channel authentication capabilities command is the
basic IPMI command that tells our tools if IPMI even exists on the remote
machine (it is what ipmiping uses underneath.).

If it doesn't even recognize it, something is wrong. If it is an IPMI
daughter card, you may want to double check atleast once that the card
hasn't become loose. We've noticed that happens quite often with daughter
cards. Outside of that, I'd ping the vendor for a replacement.

Hope that helps.

Al
