Thanks to Gilles for this new version. I do confirm that syntax highlighting works ok for me (Linux 2.4.18, FOX 1.0.11, FXRuby 1.0.10)
For those who are RPM addicts all RPM files (i586 binaries and source) are available at: 

http://www.moldus.org/~laurent/FreeRIDE/files/fxruby/

One level up you'll also find FOX and FXRuby RPMs.
