At Curt's suggestion, I'd like to introduce myself to the list:
I'm Michael Granger (except at the vernal equinox, when I become, for a
brief time, Stickwix Staples of Benheden Grove, but that's another
introduction altogether).
I've been hacking in Ruby for about 2 of my 12 years of serious
programming, in which time I've released Ruby-Poll, Ruby-WordNet,
HashSlice (all on the RAA), and the principle project I'm involved
with: MUES (http://mues.FaerieMUD.org/).
I'm interested in helping out with FreeRIDE not only because I want to
use it for my own programming, but also because I think it contains a
lot of incredibly interesting code, and some solutions to some terribly
interesting problems.
I'm eager to learn more about Ruby and programming in general from all
of you, and hopefully lend a hand where it's needed.
