In the range 9-27 ppem, yes, if you do what the font is asking for.
If you want to use the auto-hinter, you should wait until the next
FreeType version gets released (see other recent e-mail thread).
BTW, it is a nice coincidence for this particular font that the
SUBPIXEL_HINTING option works well; in general, you can't expect that.
