I still haven't understand what this latent binding thing is about.
Could you please provide more background information and rationale? I
had asked specifically about this earlier [0] but you did not answer at
that time.
Beside, that looks like a pretty intrusive change (in terms of number of
files touched) and since we've been unable to make a release in more
than a year, perhaps this should wait for some more time?
